Thread: Asus will release two non-reference card on the Radeon HD 58xx

AMD has weakened the requirement of conformity video reference design, and some manufacturers have successfully taken advantage of this opportunity. For example, companies MSI and Gigabyte are working on versions of the Radeon HD 5870 with 1GHz, but now the source of reports that Asus is working on a pre-overclocked version of the video card on this GPU.

The exact clock speeds Radeon HD 5870 TOP is not yet known, but as evidence of the existence of this model, we can bring a photo of the new cooler. The cooler is also a main attraction of the reworked version of the Radeon HD 5850.

Graphics Card ASUS EAH5850 DirectCu has a unique design of the cooler, which, according to the manufacturer, will be 35% quieter and provide a 20% lower temperature than the reference cooler AMD. Will there be different frequencies of the video from the reference, while not known for certain, but, apparently, they remain the same.

Exact specifications and release dates yet reliably known, but, like most manufacturers, Asus, is likely to introduce new products at Cebit next month.
