Company HP, a well-known manufacturer of notebooks and smartphones, presented an interim model, its first smartbook Compaq Airlife 100. This device has a 10.1 "touchscreen, 1GHz processor Qualcomm Snapdragon (presumably), 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi modules and 3G, memory card slot SD, built-in web camera, QWERTY keyboard, about 92% of standard size and operating system Android. Representatives HP say that the system is booted instantly and allows you to work without recharging the battery up to 12 hours, or hold up to 10 days in standby mode.
In Europe and Latin America smartbook Airlife 100 will be subsidized through Telefonica. In European stores this smartbook appear in the spring, but the conditions of its sales in this region are still unknown. The source reports that the new smartbook may be sold under the brand HP Mini. Price of the new device also has not been disclosed, but it probably will vary depending on the service provider and the contract terms.
Judging by the photos, Airlife 100 very elegant model, almost like a miniature MacBook Pro, but, given the scope of application, it would be convenient to have a device with a screen on a hinge.
