Thread: Toshiba turn out 600 GB 2.5" HDD

Toshiba has recently declared the launch of MBF2600RC a new line of hard drives in 2.5 inch format for business.

Available in capacities of 600GB (or a density record 595Mbit/mm ²), 450 GB and 300 GB, these drives take on board trays operating at 10 000 rpm, are equipped with 16MB of cache and use an interface SAS 6 Gbps. Relatively quiet (29 dBA idle), they are according to the manufacturer capable of maximum speeds of 216 Mb / s. It remains to get the price and availability date of these new drives.
