Following a failure in one of Microsoft server whose job is to manage access to Windows Live services (Messenger, Hotmail, etc...), some users were, last February 16, connected to an account that n ' was not theirs. Rapidly, particularly via Twitter, the news spreads and if some are amused for a moment, other present strong against Microsoft that eventually gets wind of the problem. This was followed by a momentary closure of live services for many users until everything returns to normal after the intervention of the giant from Redmond.

Server Overload

Asked about the reasons for this failure, Microsoft said: "A failure on one of our servers has identified a strain on other servers. We have opened a new server; the server closed down and solved the problem in less an hour before opening again. However, Microsoft declined to comment on the bug in question when connecting to some members to third party accounts. While the users themselves, speak of a blackout that lasted several hours. Anyway, even if everything is back to normal fairly quickly, this case demonstrates once again the concerns of confidentiality and respect for privacy can sometimes be all paperless.
