Thread: A chip with 16 cores ARM

LSI offers a new range of chips for devices that must handle data-intensive parallel, but each requires a low computing power (eg VoIP).The range includes two new StarPro references.

StarPro2704 and 2716

The StarPro2704 has four DSP at 750 MHz (SC3400e), dedicated to processing video and audio, and a 11MP ARM processor has two cores (375 MHz). The whole is supported by 6 MB of internal memory, two Ethernet controllers (capable of achieving 2.5 gigabits / s) and one PCI-Express (two lines 2.0).
