According to PC Watch, the company Intel is preparing to launch a new processor family of Atom, which should replace the old series Atom processors Z. According to unconfirmed reports, the new Intel mobile processors will be called Oak Trail. It is still unknown to their characteristics and release date, so it is still unclear what is expected from the new chips.

Some sources indicate that processors Oak Trail can be developed based on the design of SoC (System-on-a-Chip, System on a chip), making it more effective and probably the performance will be much greater than that of series of processors Z. This means that the new processors may eventually be used not only in netbook and nettop, like their predecessors, but also in the tablets, smartphones and communicators.

Keep in mind that this mobile processor has not appeared in official plans to release Intel processors, so it's possible that all of the information received is just unfounded rumors.
