Linksys offers an interesting solution for connecting two computers to those who have no network adapter or Wi-Fi (this happens regularly, desktop PCs do not have Wi-Fi and more and more netbooks abandon the 'Ethernet). The PCLINK Trendnet is a small device consisting of a USB key connected to a cable 1.80m which allows two PCs to connect them with USB 2.0. The company delivers a complete driver and transfer software (installed on the device) indicates that the transfer rate is limited to 160 Mbps (approximately 20 MB / s), and also offers a version designed to connect to a Mac PC.
Even if a transfer via network or by a simple USB stick is a priori equally effective, this product will find its audience, its ease of use. Note at the same price: about € 20 for the PC version. The Mac version, white is 30 € per cons, then it is a priori identical (apart from drivers).
