Thread: Intel to Release 400GB, 600GB solid state drives end of this year

Usually Intel is linked with processors. In fact it’s such a leading player that it actually runs the entire processor industry. And if its performance is everything to go by then it proposes to do the similar in solid state storage industry. Reportedly, after bring in couple of solid state drives the firm is planning to launch latest large capacity drives at lower price-points.

At the end of the year two new SSDs the enterprise-class X25-E family with 400GB storage and the mainstream X25-M with 600GB. Both of them are depend on multi-level cell (MLC) flash ready using 34nm fabrication process.
