Default Apple's Ban on Sexy Apps is Selective

Apple has prohibited sexy app from its app store but Sports Illustrated Swimsuit app,

The Playboy app and FHM app are still execution around.

Last Thursday, Apple exposed latest policy for app store is applications among "overtly sexual content" are not permitted. The policy was not legitimately declared, but rather transmitted through e-mail to app developer Jon Atherton, who sent it to TechCrunch.

Atherton is developer of Wobble iBoobs, an app that allows including "wobble zones" to photos of bikini models. This functionality was classified as "overtly sexual" by Apple, and so app deleted from app store.

Atherton has as speak with Apple about precise particulars of ban, and posted list of new rules on his blog:

    1. No photos of women in bikinis

    2. No photos of men in bikinis

    3. No skin

    4. No outlines that show that Wobble can be utilized for wobbling boobs

    5. No sexual suggestions: boobs, babes, booty, sex all banned

    6. Nothing that can be sexually exciting!!

    7. No apps will be accepted that in way involve sexual content

It shows that new rules are simple but only when it comes to app "unknowns" like

Wobble iBoobs, SlideHer: Tera Patrick, and Dirty Fingers: Screen Wash. Companies like Sports Illustrated and Playboy actually have extra drag when it comes to app store as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit app is promoted on app store homepage, and is ranked first in sports applications.

Playboy, FHM, and Victoria's Secret has apps that aspect bikini and lingerie-clad women, and all available for download at app store.

I can see disagreeing for SI app as sports app, and for VS app as shopping app, but I actually want to know how Apple is explanatory Playboy app as not "overtly sexual."
