The catalog of laptops from Lenovo expands with the arrival of five new ThinkPad, the X201, X201 (lighter version), X201 Tablet (version "shelf"), W701 and W701ds.
12 or 17 inches?
The first three have a screen of 12 inches (touch multitouch in the case of the X201 tablet) and use an Intel platform. We thus find a Core i7 or i5 and up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. 2 Mpixel webcam is integrated, while the battery allows a maximum range of 11 to 12 hours. The X201, X201 and X201 Tablet should be available next month at the respective rates in 1199$, 1599$ and 1549$.
In turn, the W701 and W701ds are real nomads workstations. Clearly for the professional world, both models feature a 17-inch screen and boarded a Core i7 up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a Quadro FX 2800 or 3800. The W701ds (for dual-screen) also has a second screen side of 10 inches. Alas, it is paid: in 2199$ count for the W701, and 3799$for the W701ds ...
