Skype has removed from its official website the VoIP application for the Windows Mobile platform. Users already have the software can continue to use it, but others will wait for new developments. User experience, according to the company, was disappointing.

Skype for Windows Mobile has been eliminated: its VoIP capabilities were not up to expectations. Skype’s management decided to remove from its web page for mobile VoIP solution because Windows does not qualitatively comparable to similar for iPhone and Symbian.

The press office has confirmed, however, that anyone who already has the software can c ontinue to use it without problems: in short, no risk of blocking. Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile will probably be replaced with new versions, but currently there are no official statements that reinforce it.

"With the latest version of Windows Mobile (the first Windows Phone 7), Skype has become very difficult to provide a mobile application that behaves as we expect our users - for instance lead to calls via headset instead of only main audio system, "it said in a statement to answer Skype.
