ARM has relased Keil Development Studio 5 (DS-5) Application Edition, which simplifies the development of Linux applications running on ARM processor.

A complete development environment
DS-5 Application Edition gives a project manager built on Eclipse can support several workspaces and projects, a publisher C / C + + and assembler and debugger with a graphical viewer and simulator by turning the application on a Cortex A8 SoC. Finally, DS-5 comes with a compiler optimized using GCC 4.4.1 and supporting the latest Cortex A8 and A9.

Keil wants to be pragmatic
The publisher says that DS-5 is preconfigured to handle a wide range of development platforms, adding BeagleBoard using the OMAP35x processor from Texas Instruments.

The development tool comes with 2 projects serve as an example, Gnometris application and library Libgames. The platform is available for download on the publisher's website.
