On One Hand: All Arrows Point to D-Link
A lot of analysis point to the D-Link DIR-825 as the gamers’ router of preference. The whole thing from super-fast speed to simple part and use to a consistent network. The maker even claims on its website that it can give "online gaming without lag." It sounds great, but it will run buyers $165 as of early 2010.
On the Other: ASUS Is Less Expensive
The ASUS Wless 90, one more favorite of gamers, is rather less popular but low cost. It boasts fantastic signal strength, fairly quick speed and simple handling. It is fairly steady, but users are more probable to get booted and lag than with the D-link. This router costs around $40 as of early 2010.
Bottom Line
If features and consistency matter you would like to consider the D-Link router. But, if price is a problem, the ASUS router might be a better choice.
