Twitter releasing a new service designed to stop users of the social-media site from getting fool by phishing links that steal their login permits and other attacks.

The company will path all links put forward in the site via a filter created to take links that lead to malware, the company said on the Twitter blog on Tuesday.

"Two weeks ago, Twitter co-founder] explained how Twitter users were being victimized by phishing scams increased primarily via links in direct messages," the post said. "Mainly, people click the link and bad things occur. My team can only identify these scams after malicious links have already been sent out."

With the new filtering service, although a bad link is before now sent out and someone clicks on it, the user will be safe, according to the post.
The filtering will concentrate on links sent through direct messages and e-mail notifications about direct messages since the attacks take place mainly in those communications.
