From past couple of months, Advanced Micro Devices has been increasing its range of products by releasing new chipsets. Now, it is the only company that supplies DirectX 11-capable graphics adapters.
Though, the chip maker has not performed well against the Intel’s Pine Trail platform for netbooks. So, the company is planning to bring Fusion APUs for netbooks by 2011 to battle the largest chip maker.
According to source, the company will release its individual processors for the reasonable price rate, ultra-mobile computing division. The company has not full information about the Fusion technology, which will add both processing and graphics on the similar chips.
The architecture design for the forthcoming chips is anonymous, but it is reported that the chips will have to fight against Intel's Westmere range of Core i5/i7 chips that already have included graphics.
