Microsoft well-known Google's new move to end censor its search engine in China, but will carry on doing business there, official said. Microsoft thinks that it must be busy in universal markets and carry on to support free look, clearness and rule of law, said Cornelia Kutterer, senior manager for regulatory policy in Brussels.
Kutterer gave presentation on cybercrime, yearly meeting of law, safety experts and government officers discussing Convention on Cybercrime treaty. Technology companies come in periodic study for how products utilized by China government to deny information it think sensitive. Companies usually defended by saying they observe with Chinese laws to do business there. Also says that Global Network Initiative (GNI) organization which concentrates on freedom and privacy problems on Internet. GNI was introduced in October 2008 in part out of worry for how technology companies were working in countries like China.
Google and Yahoo are amongst members of GNI. Google said it redirect users of its Chinese site Google.cn to uncensored search engine in Hong Kong after China government said it wouldn’t permit company to run unfiltered search engine on "google.cn." Users are redirected to "google.com.hk."
Google's alters to its search engine came after it said in January it targeted by hackers. Above20 other technology, economic and software companies targeted, with aim to steal academic property and cleverness on human rights activists, Google said.
