AMD Opteron server chips released by ACER
Computer manufacturer Acer will be the first to sell out the server systems using AMD's most recent Opteron chip. Said Ben Williams, vice president and general manager AMD Asia - Pacific region, Acer is one of the largest computer companies - along with Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and Cray - will soon be sold Opteron server chip in AMD's latest line of 6100.

The chip is designed for servers with two or four processors and has better performance than AMD's current chips.
