Many are declaring iPad Kindle killer but it looks no one told Amazon. The e-book seller updated its free Kindle app to include compatibility for iPad, and it is accessible for reading happiness. And as Kindle app is worldwide, similar app run on both iPhones and iPads.
The iPad edition of Kindle contains spiffy page turning animation with option to turn off animation. Library view on Kindle for iPad shows big thumbnails of books you have available to read and is both scrollable and pinchable. Notes, bookmarks done with touch, and fine-tune brightness of screen from app. Kindle app supports Amazon's Whispersync technology so all bookmarks, notes, and place stay synced across all Kindle apps and hardware.
But main aspect of Kindle for iPad is most likely Amazon's huge stock of e-books. Amazon states above 450,000 title accessible for Kindle as iBook store now has only about 60,000 titles. You must note, as Amazon does in Kindle app's explanation, that iPad version of Kindle has not checked on real iPad. It looks Amazon was not one of companies to obtain sneak peek at iPad.
