Lenovo and Samsung have announced that they were in the process of developing netbooks use VIA VX900 chipset.
We do not yet know the configurations of these machines, but are almost sure they will use the Nano processor of the firm. The system does not consume more than a platform like Atom, according to initial information and engine ChromotionHD materially 2.0 decodes H.264, MPEG-2, WMV-HD and VC-1 to take advantage of Chrome9 HC3. The GPU handles the DirectX9 and is clocked at 250 MHz. The chipset also supports DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI and VGA, manufacturers should be able to build interesting machines capable of competing with the Atom.
Compatible DDR3 1 066 MHz, the chipset can accommodate two 2.0 SATA ports, one PCI-Express 4 lines and two ports 1x and eight USB 2.0 ports. It remains to know their price and performance level. These Netbooks should be presented during the Computex will be held next June.
