OCZ has just unveiled its Z-R2 Drive SSD PCI-Express to offer more memory and better performance.

More memory and bandwidth
Designed for SAN and servers, design is largely inspired by the first Z-drive of the firm, but is supposed to offer better opportunities to update. Indeed, the Flash memory modules are removable, so you can easily replace. Bootable, the product uses a port OCZ eight lines and a RAID 0 configuration. According to the manufacturer, R2 can reach 1 400 MB / s read and write for the 2TB model pricing and availability date in France have not yet been announced.

OCZ wants a slice of cake business
This release is interesting because it is the first since qu'OCZ officially announced plans to abandon the focus on devices for memory and power supplies. The firm needs to maximize its profits if it wants to remain competitive and one PCI-Express SSD for Business is a great way to get there, provided that the reliability is the rendezvous.
