OCZ announced plans to begin mass production of solid state disk (SSD) Drive Z-R2 PCI-Express (PCIe). Z-Drive SSD R2 target devices used in SAN (storage area network), workstations (workstations) and servers, almost double the performance increase compared to the "predecessor" of it by applying a series of NAND module was optimized.
By OCZ CEO Ryan Petersen said, Z-Drive drive R2-performance read / write sequentially higher line using 8 input / output (I / O) PCIe. "Moreover, it is only PCIe SSD booting and convenient on the market today," Mr. Petersen said.
R2 is Z-Drive data transfer rate up to 1.4 Gbit / second, capacities ranging from 256GB to 2TB. The Z-Drive system also has the first eight lines each line PCIe PCIe but only for the total flux 500Mbit/giay data throughput speeds up to 800Mbit/giay.
OCZ said that the new drive uses high speed PCIe architecture, circuit pairing SATA (Serial-ATA), able to boot. This drives RAID 0 configurations inside four-way to improve performance. R2 Z-Drive series drives also come with NAND flash module can be inverted, allowing administrators to maintain and upgrade it.
