Toshiba has announced a chip design based on ARM Cortex M3. The TMPM395FWXBG is clocked at 20 MHz and has a maximum memory of 128 KB (flash memory) and RAM 8K. Intended - of course - for industrial applications, it has a big advantage of using a set of instructions known and well controlled by developers, which is not necessarily the case with conventional microcontrollers. Toshiba intends to include remote control devices, a component compliant with CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is integrated into the chip. Orders CEC pointed out, are used in HDMI, FireWire for controlling video cameras or Bluetooth the AVRCP stereo headphones, it's ECC.

The chip is very compact and consumption in terms of its frequency, very low. No price announced products or integrating.
