James Gosling, the father of the Java programming language has resigned from Oracle. It therefore follows Jonathan Schwartz and Tim Bray, who were key figures in the Sun before its acquisition.

The engineer announced, explaining that he had requested his resignation on April 2. He declined to give reasons for his departure saying that any explanation "fair and accurate would do more harm than good." Mr. Gosling became the CTO of the division for Oracle client software and you may think that his decision is partly due to the politicization of the Java community since its acquisition by Sun, which he has denounced in the past. One thing is certain, these new highlights important changes that are currently take place within the Sun's former teams.
