Regarding cloud computing, CIOs French prefer Cloud Private Cloud public. This is one conclusion that could be learned from the first study on the cloud computing conducted by Pierre Audoin Consultants with over 200 CIOs French.

When the cloud is included in a business strategy, it is for the vast majority (71%) associated with Cloud private. Public infrastructure of cloud attracts only 7% of respondents. The hybrids which mix a while private and public 13%. Not surprisingly, CIOs French - and certainly the reason why Cloud is private for the time favorite - 44% believe that the disorder and the soft focus on security and privacy are the two brakes Cloud in France. Follow the dependence of the network to 14%, and loss of control of data to 14%, too. At 60%, the CIOs surveyed say that keeping control of IT is the biggest advantage of a private versus Cloud a Cloud public.

But and this is rather surprising-, CIOs cite 43% flexibility, adaptability and flexibility as the engines of the adoption of cloud computing in France. And not, as generally mentioned in every speech marketing Cloud providers, reducing costs.
A 54%, the mail is the application most prone to be outsourced in the Cloud for CIOs. And much less called critical business applications, such as finance and accounting (26%), CRM (24%) or HR (20%).

Finally another interesting point, Microsoft IT is the actor most associated with Cloud. Cited by 60% of respondents, it is positioned to VMware (43%), IBM (31%), Citrix (29%) and Google (19%). Amazon has been mentioned by only 7% of CIOs surveyed.
