Against what we originally thought, NVIDIA has not brought its technology Optimus on Mac OS X and it is therefore not present on the previous MacBook Pro.
NVIDIA is himself just confirmed the news to our colleagues from AppleInsider. New MacBook inherit many new NVIDIA GPUs and has enough technology to bridge the PGI to dedicated graphics on the fly. Nevertheless, taking the software layer support this feature was written by Apple and not by the firm to the chameleon who said she had not helped Cupertino and it would not comment on the technology used.
Apple takes the lead
Optimus NVIDIA was introduced earlier this year by the firm which had not ruled out a version of Mac OS X at time of announcement. Apple has nevertheless decided to take matters in hand and will need to see if his system is so efficient. One can imagine that the company was up against the wall because it uses the new processors feature an integrated IGP and it therefore had to release an alternative to the Optimus, NVIDIA does not seem to have its technology would bring on computers at the apple yet.
