RipCode has announced a service for playing Flash videos on the iPad without need to download a client or plug-in as it is a web application, there is no need of approval from Apple.

Interesting idea

The principle is simple. Transcoder V6 firm intercepts a product iPhone OS wants to read a flash video (live or not) and the converted signal on a cloud into a container and a video and audio codec compatible with the product. Everything would be completely transparent, the user need not install anything.

Development takes time

It would seem cons that content providers are forced to use a blade server sold by the firm for the service to work on their site. In short, if the idea is interesting it will wait until it is adopted.
