G. Skill has just established a new record by raising its kit dual channel DDR3 memory at 2.5GHz.

CES markets

Using a voltage of 1.65 V in order to facilitate compatibility with the Core i7 860 and 870, the timings are 9-11-9-28. The modules have been tested on Asus motherboards P7P55D-E-E Deluxe and P7P55D EVO and will be part of the family memories Trident. 100 MHz higher than the previous models, these memories are the results of the prototypes presented at CES this year and showed at the time of the timings 9-11-11-31.

Limited interest

As a reminder, these are primarily technology showcases there as a marketing argument for over lockers or enthusiasts. If it does not fit the CPU frequency sufficiently, additional bandwidth will simply not work.
