Buffalo has declared launch of a new range of SSD with a PATA interface rather than now classic SATA interface: SHD-NHPU2. Available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB and 128 GB, 2.5-inch SSD format is especially designed for older machines, without SATA interface.

The SSD utilizes a priori controller Indilinx and embeds 64 MB of cache. Speeds reach 101 by company Mb / s. We note in passing that a USB 2.0 seems extra also available. Expected by the end of the month in Japan, the SHD-NHPU2 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively.
