ATI is going to appeal to Global Foundries plants for construct of its chips in 28 nm. Since AMD bought ATI Radeon graphics chips have always been manufactured by TSMC was the founder of the Canadian before his redemption. It must be said that recent troubles with the Taiwanese who had performance problems and internal restructuring within AMD, push the green giant to better exploit its old factories.

GlobalFoundries should start producing 28 nm chips in mass during the beginning of 2011. It is not known yet when the Radeon using this fine engraving come out of factories. There is little doubt that AMD cons use by 28-nm HP (High Performance) of the smelter, which concentrates on the performance of the chip, unlike the 28-SP (Super Low Power) will be used for mobile chips which focuses on reducing consumption.
