War production technology in industrial chip flash memory seems to occur between Samsung Electronics and IM Flash Technologies. Memory chip maker Samsung revealed the NAND flash memory chips are manufactured using advanced 20nm technology. This announcement came just months after IM Flash Technologies said it has started production of NAND flash chips first trade using 25nm technology.
The competition between companies to process the most modern chip production will be beneficial to users. In general, smaller manufacturing process makes chips cost less, run faster and consume energy more efficiently. It is essential for today's mobile devices.

Chip manufacturer Intel is the world's largest second Samsung. In the past few years, the two companies are not direct competitors. Intel processors also specializes Samsung is a manufacturer of flash memory and DRAM world's largest. In early 2006, Intel partnered with Micron to form IM Flash, direct competition with Samsung in the flash memory market. Last month 1 / 2010, IM Flash Technology announced its 25nm, approximately 1.5 years after start using 34nm tech. For comparison, Samsung announced the first 30nm flash memory chips is 10/2007. Thus, the journey to Samsung's 20nm process lasted 2.5 years.
