A study reveals that Akamai Berkeley is the city that has Internet connectivity mean the worlds fastest with an average throughput of 18.7 Mbit / s. No French city is in the top 100.

The top three rankings all have major research universities that inflate results. Classification, which is to be taken lightly and do not necessarily reflect the public Internet, is primarily led by the United States, Japan and South Korea, the first European city is Oxford in England who came in fourth position, followed by Trondheim in Norway is thirtieth position.

The French table is not so black that even if evidence of a lack of our universities and our research centers. Thus there was an increase of 16% of unique IP to one year on other in France. However, this does not represent an increase of machines connecting to the Internet, which can share an IP if they are on a LAN, but the increase in subscriptions to an ISP. This is the third highest growth after China (27%) and Brazil (18%). France is the fifth country in the world in terms of number of unique IP, behind the United States, China, Japan and Germany.
