Canonical announced manufacturer will soon release an update to their server OS. From april people began to download server operating system Ubuntu 4.10 Long Term Support (LTS) with 10:04 to Ubuntu desktop. Like the LTS version of Canonical, the Linux-based OS is designed for users who require long term support and maximum stability, Mr Matt Asay, CEO of the company said.
Ubuntu 4.10 LTS will be supported with free maintenance and security update in five years.. Usually, once every two years one, Canonical released a re-LTS version every two years for the server. Ubuntu 4.10 LTS server OS is the first feature Eucalyptus, which allows an organization to run cloud services from the local server.
This version also has a package of new features such as database navigation CouchDB documentation, software configuration management and Puppet Django framework. Also starting on 4/29/2010, users of the server version of OS or Ubuntu 8.04 Ubuntu 9.10 LTS can upgrade directly from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS line.
