Oracle has put fee of 90 USD per user on plug-in for Microsoft Office. When owned by Sun Microsystems, this plug-in is free. This tool permits users of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, read, edit and save documents in ODF formats competing office software OpenOffice use.
Sun was founded open source projects created in OpenOffice. Oracle continues to project financing and selling second edition of OpenOffice as a product: Standard version for single users or small companies, which costs U.S. $ 49.95 for each license permanent. Enterprise Edition requires a minimum 100 users, with added features such as Microsoft SharePoint connector and the SDK, which costs 90 USD for each license permanent telecommunications.
As said by Oracle's site, also require to have 100 people to order using Office-ODF plug-in. Also consumers desire to receive updates in future should also buy support contract, which prices about 22% licensing fee per year.
