Marvell declared its Armada 310, a SoC with ARM core running at 1 GHz, as requiring less than 1 W. The SoC is aimed at embedded platforms found in specialized or consumer products. A processor as low power and would reduce the size of routers, microserveurs, dongles, or medical systems.

The frequency of Armada 310 can differ among 600 MHz and 1 GHz. The processor has L1 cache of 32KB and an L2 cache of 256 KB SoC has interface 16-bit DDR2 / 3 to decrease manufacturing prices of using products, brands utilizes a known memory and cheap.

It includes two interfaces PCI-Express, works two SATA ports, two Gigabit Ethernet and USB port. The aim is to minimize the plug-in required to lower production prices. Armada 310 is sold below 15 U.S. dollars in quantities of more than 10,000 units.
