Seagate has just presented its results for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2010, a period that ended April 2 last. During the quarter, the manufacturer has sold 50.3 million hard drives, confirming its position as the passage leading manufacturer of hard drives, Western Digital front.

Turnover reached 3.05 billion dollars, up slightly from the previous quarter $ 3.03 billion, and up 31% compared to last year. The group also recorded a profit of $ 518 million, compared to a loss of $ 275 million the previous quarter. For the current quarter, which ends next June, Seagate expects to achieve a turnover of between 2.9 and 3.1 billion dollars.
