An owner of an all-new MacBook Pro 13 "has published screenshot showing that system knows TRIM control. Though SSD installed is Intel Postville, Mac OS reports that it is not TRIM friendly. Other owner of MacBook Pro 17 last generation with its origin of a DSS can see no mention of him TRIM.

The situation is evolving alongside Apple, but is far from simple.
