Lucid Lynx should no longer delay to see the day. Canonical has indeed put online a Release Candidate version of the Linux distribution Ubuntu 4.10 LTS. This version should be the last before the release of the final version, scheduled for April 29 next. We note in passing that the LTS maintained for 3 years for the desktop version, and 5 for the server version.
Available in x86 32-bit and 64-bit, Ubuntu 4.10 LTS is also available in some ARM netbooks. Compared with previous betas, few are new to report. At most, can there be observed a slight alteration in the issues and Atmosphere Radiance, and the arrival of new wallpapers. Some bugs known are present in this RC version, but they should of course be corrected by next Thursday.
