The California manufacturer AMP Inc. Just launch a new range of SSD 2.5-inch format called SATAsfaction Series. Using as their name suggests a 6 Gbps SATA interface, the DSS boarded the NAND flash memory, faster but also more expensive than MLC.
Available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256 GB SSDs also have the 32-64 MB memory buffer. They support the TRIM control and enjoy features ECC and an advanced power management. AMP announces rates up to 260 MB / s read and 150MB / s write and up to 30,000 IOPS in random access. The prices of these SSD and availability date are unfortunately still unknown.
