Microsoft certification has stopped further development and production projects canceled computer table (MTB), code-named his Courier.

According to published reports Gizmodo, Microsoft has stopped production of their MTB dual screen. Some industry observers had hoped Courier with Slate (HP), Streak (Dell), IdeaPad U1 will increase competition in the MTB market, pulling prices lower down the Apple iPad.

Expected to be launched in the second half of 2010, it said that Courier is the shape of a book with two 7-inch screen, integrated camera and Wi-Fi equipment support a variety of ways to input data input to the user as touch, handwriting, and drawing.

SAN FRANCISCO: Microsoft has sidelined a "Courier" project said to be focused on building a twin-screen tablet computer that could be used for entertainment and work.

"At any given time, across any of our business groups, there are new ideas being investigated, tested, and incubated," Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw said in a message posted Thursday on the US software giant's blog.

"The 'Courier' project is an example of this type of effort and its technologies will be evaluated for use in future Microsoft offerings."

Microsoft has kept details of the project secret, declining to confirm or deny what it is about. Leaked reports of the table described it as opening like a book to reveal two screens operated by touch.
