Gigabit Wireless Alliance (WGA) has build up technology "WiGig" a year from now. WiGig will utilize the 60GHz band has not been licensed and will be capable to achieve data transmission speeds of about 6Gbps.This technology is designed to change cables for jobs such as high-definition video distribution to the monitor, send data between a laptop and connect the base of it. WiGig are not planned to compete with Wi-Fi, which manage at lower speeds, in a lot of different bands.

On 10/5/2010, the WGA has declared a technology specification, as well as support tri-band devices to maintain compatibility with existing Wi-Fi in. WGA consist of some big names in the industry and wireless networks like Intel, Broadcom and Atheros Communications. Especially, Cisco also support this standard, the technology will make WiGig rising strength.
