2010 will clearly be the breakthrough year for the operating system Google Android. Already credited higher sales as iPhone OS on the first three months of the year, Android should see its growth accelerated by the release of version 2.2. Otherwise known as Froyo this new version simply looks almost 6 times faster than earlier!

This rapid acceleration has been observed by our colleagues in the Police Android Linpack benchmark. Where their Nexus One Android 2.1 display score of 6.5 to 7 MFLOPS same as Nexus One Froyo 37.6 Mflops.

5.5 Times computing power without changing hardware. The miracle would in the compiler on the fly (JIT) integrated with the JVM Froyo. Programs using Java will therefore significantly improve their performance following the update in Android 2.2. But other precompiled software does not this gain will be immersed sensitive.
