"At Facebook, we're continually working on new ways to protect you from scam and help you keep your account and information protect," said by a Facebook software engineer, in a blog post.
"Today, we're announce some new tools and systems designed to keep bad guys out and keep you side by side of mistrustful activity so you can faster take action to accurate it,".
The latest features, now available to all Facebook users, is designed to allow users to support the devices they use to log in and then be notified wherever their account is access from a device they have not approved. The consumer can notifying that different system has been used to try to access their account. They'll also get information on how to reset their password and safe the account.
Facebook also is taking steps to wedge doubtful logons.
"When we see that anyone is trying to enter your account from a strange device, we'll ask the person to answer an extra confirmation query to prove their identity as the original account user .
"For instants, we may ask the person to enter a birth date, identify a friend in a photo or answer a security question if you've before provided one of them. These questions are designed made to be easy for you, and hard for a thief guy, and we have already seen some great results,".
The safety statement does not appear to be related to the company meeting that Facebook called, also on Thursday, to discuss its current privacy issue.
