IE6 released in 8 May 2001, up to now has 9 years of age. Such as, late in 2009, hackers used an error in the browser to steal private information from Google and some other large technology companies. a lot of sites and services have declared it will no longer support IE6. Microsoft then asked to give IE6 users since 2009. Whether the user has to listen to the call or because large amount of people have changed to Windows 7, the % of people are running IE6 has fallen since August 2009. According to data from the company Net Applications, within 9 months, using IE6 market share fell from 25.3% to 17.6%.
Though, the actual expiration date is 04/08/2014 IE6. After that date, Microsoft will not launch security updates for IE6, or Windows XP anymore.
