The release of Apple’s iPad brought unease that the device might cannibalize sales of the Mac computer - but a look at the 1st month of the June quarter shows that it’s the iPod, not the Mac, that possibly taking the iPad hit.
In the U.S., Mac sales for the month of April were up 39%, by the 19% projection that Wall Street has probable for the full quarter. All at once, iPods were down 17% for the month, contrasted to April of last year. Wall Street is forecasting a 9% refuse for the full quarter.
It’s an interesting creep glance in the varying dynamics of these popular Apple products, though I can’t help but wonder what sort of crash the Dads & Grads season might have on the full quarter, whether iPad sales might further crash any Mac or iPod categories.
