Beta clients named in two click scam lawsuits Microsoft filed this week continue their virtue, and both say they supported the software company in inspect the source of the problem.
Microsoft detained a press conference featuring its general warning, senior attorney of its digital crimes unit, a sovereign advisor, a Harvard professor and a managerial from an advertising industry group.
The Microsoft managerial detailed what they said is a new kind of click fraud, "click laundering," and said the company had filed two court cases against people employing the technique.
Microsoft charges that defendants used botnets and extra techniques to drive traffic to their personal servers, where they worn out the traffic-referring information and restore it with code that made it look like the traffic came straight to their sites.
Though the business HelloMetro was not given name as a defendant in also of the suits, it was cited as the publisher of location getting excessive numbers of clicks.
