Dell on Tuesday proclaim it would ship its initial handheld device, called Streak, in June, but it is also looking to expand devices with larger display sizes as it tries to set up a foothold in the competitive cell phone market.

The Streak has a 5-inch display, and the company is looking at rising handheld devices with larger display sizes, said, vice president of small devices in Dell's communication solutions group.

He said there is room for moveable devices with numerous display sizes as technology develops and new usage models for applications appears.

Communication knowledge like LTE (Long Term Evolution) is developing quickly, data plans are becoming cheaper, and customers are willing to take more devices, He said.

Dell wants to make different consumer and enterprise practice situation as wireless data transfer rates get faster, he said.

Streak is the first of what might be numerous devices from Dell in the fast-growing mobile liberty more than the next few years, Thode said.

The Streak device which the company calls a tablet was developed as a pocket-sized device with a large display on which satisfied like movies might be viewed, Thode said.

Dell directors have explained Streak as hitting the "sweet spot" between smartphones and tablets with larger displays.
