Microsoft's mobile barcode technology, Tag, has exited the beta testing phase, and a final launch is obtainable for download, the corporation said in a blog post.
When a consumer points a mobile code camera on a barcode the Tag customer will understand the code, and link to a diversity of happy. For instance, Golf Digest has been using tags to let their reader’s access video lessons on smartphones.
In Amsterdam, visitors are able to go on a Tag-led tour, by tags on monuments, museums, restaurants, bars, and other landmarks, according to Microsoft. In its easiest form, Tag links straight to a Web page, the blog post said.
Tags can too be used to dial a phone number when the client scans the tag a phone number is mechanically dialed.
