Last month, Twitter users strike a novel landmark. They sent almost 2 billion tweets in the month of May, according to Pingdom, a Web site check service.

The number, 1.99 billion tweets, is an important jump for the Twitter verse. Pingdom reported that last December, client strike 1 billion tweet per month for the first time. That's a replication of tweets in now an only some months.

"Perhaps Twitter won't fairly be able to arrive at the roughly 6 billion tweets per month we've forecast for end of the year, but it's obvious that the Twitter platform is yet increasing at a healthy speed," wrote Pingdom analysts in a blog post .

"Close to doubling the volume of monthly tweets in the previous six months is no little feat."

Ezra Gottheil, an analyst with Technology Business Research, said such hard, stable expansion is a huge sign for a social networking site.

"That's talented for Twitter," he added. "Fashions are inclined to speed up rising and come deafening down. It looks like public are judgment actual uses for Twitter... I don't have the data, but I believe there's been a move in practice.
