Apple has declared the prize of an iPhone 4 in the UK with no signing up for a contract. The iPhone 4 will cost £499 for the 16GB version and £599 for the 32GB version in the UK, with no settlement to a contract with a mobile operator. The SIM-free iPhone 4 is available for pre-order from the Apple website from today, with the handset incoming 24 June. The iPhone 4 uses a micro SIM before a standard one, so most users will have to buy in a new SIM card too.
UK mobile operators still not declared their contract prices, even though Vodafone appears to have revealed its prices with a "test page" going live yesterday. On that network, users on 2 year contracts will be able to buy the iPhone 4 16GB from £189.
