Apple patched 28 vulnerabilities in is Snow Leopard operating system, with two in Adobe's Flash Player.

But in a new instance of the worry among the two corporations sparked by Apple CEO Steve Jobs' refusal of Flash as slow, buggy and outdated Adobe instantly countered by noting that Apple's Flash fixes were previously outdated.

"10.6.4 Update for Mac OS X contains Flash Player, but not the newest version," said Brad Arkin, Adobe's executive of security and privacy, in a message on Twitter soon after Apple issued the security and performance update.

Others at Adobe chime in the past that Apple dispatched the outdated Flash Player 10.0.45.2 with Mac OS X 10.6.4, and similar to Arkin, advise Mac users to download a newer edition straight from Adobe's site.

Adobe patched a couple of bugs in Flash Player 10.0.45.2 for Mac plus Windows in February 2010.

The latest edition of the well-liked media player is 10.1.53.64, a 32-patch update Adobe dispatched June 10, in part to fix a zero-day fault that hackers have been exploiting since previous this month.
